SCI-ILLUSTRATE MASTERCLASS- VIRTUAL
We believe that no lab or scientist should be using powerpoint to make their scientific illustrations.
A scientist’s time is too precious for that!
Become better, faster, more efficient at making your scientific illustrations, figure panels and posters for your research.
Let us show you what glories lie beyond powerpoint.
In this online workshop, we will train you in Adobe Illustrator, a 2D illustration tool used by professionals all around the world, including major journals and publishing houses.
Why?
Because scientists deserve efficient tools to do better science.

THINGS TO KNOW
If you have two screens at home, use them! We have found the virtual workshop experience is optimum with two screens.
You will need a functioning mouse and keyboard setup to practice all the shortcut keys we teach you.
You would need a functioning (and hopefully the latest) DESKTOP, ENGLISH version of Adobe Illustrator. Download a trial or purchase a subscription of your choice through THIS LINK. If you have another language setting, the English version will need to be redownloaded from the Creative Cloud app.
PS: Ipad or tab versions of Adobe Illustrator are not recommended for this workshop as the UI is different from the original desktop version and it will be difficult to follow along.
The calls will NOT be recorded, so be present through all the sessions like an in-person workshop so as to not miss any gold nuggets (and we promise there will be many).
The workshop will be conducted via Zoom. The links will be sent to the email you register with, 1 week before the workshop.
If you don’t get a seat, fill in the waiting list to be notified if a spot opens up.

When I inscribed into the course, I really had very little knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.
After the course, I feel much more comfortable with this program. To communicate my research, I can now make designs and illustrations that meet my expectations and they look beautiful.
The course was great and efficiently structured.
There was enough time planned to show us the basic tools and features and to try them out. From there on, we started with more simple designs were shown and overtime we progressed to more complex ones. I thought it was great that we always got enough time to copy the designs they showed. It allowed me to try out all the tools myself and ask questions if something didn't work.
The theory was established through practice.
The learning atmosphere was ideal to get a maximum of knowledge in a short time. From task to task I could experience how I became more competent and empowered by understanding the program and its functions better. I was overwhelmed how easy it is to create and edit complex images.
The course has exceeded my expectations.
The instructors were very nice, helpful, patient and very well prepared. I am happy that I was able to take this course and I would recommend it, even to people who already have a deeper knowledge of Illustrator. I'm sure they will be surprised by all the short-cuts and tricks that exist to make your Illustrator-life easier.
